Positive: stayed new years eve. Complimentary bottle of wine & fairy lights out the back door were a nice touch. The tiny pod itself is nicely fitted out with ensuite & kitchenette. Welcome teas, coffee & milk. Great shower. We didn't use them but it was good to see a heater & fan. The sea view is amazing but limited as we were warned not to go on the deck as unsafe. A great beach is nearby - not quite beachfront or private as advertised however. Glad to wake up to dry weather & thankful we successfully navigated the track safely multiple times. Luckily we're still pretty mobile & resourceful although both in our 60's! Felt it was unfair not to mention the challenging access for those older or with less mobility - we would have been happier if forewarned that the property is a work in progress. There were no reviews when we stayed so we only had listing details to go by - we would be cautious of that in future.
Negative: It was wet when we arrived & with no number marking we eventually found it by a process of elimination after checking each house in the street. Interesting climb to the unit up the track which had been recently cut through the long grass - uneven & very slippery, difficult even with only a bag of essentials. No shelter over the entry door, rain running freely through the sun sail. A door mat or extra towels would be useful. Although we laughed about it later It felt like a bad joke at the time. Listing information was misleading stating "private apartment in a building" " Free onsite parking convenient for all guests!!" The room size said 30sqm but the pod only measures 8 feet x 24 feet which is actually only 17-18sqm. For those reasons it felt like a bit of a con for $200 but we slept well enough.
Summary: Great view & well thought out interior in this wee pod. Challenging access!
